Located in Köping, Sweden, a local customer had already installed a 43kW solar PV system. However, like many solar users, they faced a common challenge: when solar generation exceeded daytime electricity demand, how could the surplus energy be stored and used more effectively?

To increase renewable energy utilization, improve energy flexibility, and reduce dependence on grid electricity, the customer was looking for a reliable energy storage solution that could seamlessly work with their existing PV system while supporting future expansion.

This project became a milestone as it marked the first installation of Solis EverCore C&I Energy Storage System in Sweden, delivered together with Light Leap and installed by Köping Elektriska.

The project deployed the Solis EverCore 125kW/261kWh C&I Energy Storage System, integrated with the existing 43kW PV system and a newly added 17kW PV system with a hybrid inverter.

Designed for commercial and industrial applications, EverCore combines high-performance energy storage with an installer-friendly design. Its integrated architecture, side-mounted inverter, and pre-wired connections help simplify installation, reduce wiring complexity, and improve maintenance efficiency.

As Albin Hasselstrom, Head of Product at Light Leap, explained:

“The inverter is mounted on the side of the cabinet, which makes it very easy to access for cable routing. It almost becomes like installing any inverter.”

For the installation team, simplicity was equally important. Axel Kolsvik, Project Manager at Köping Elektriska, shared:

It feels well thought-out with everything from cable glands to a lot of pre-wired cabling, which makes the installation very simple… It feels quite plug-and-play.

With EverCore installed, the customer can now store excess solar energy and use it when needed, increasing the value of their existing PV investment and improving overall energy efficiency.

The battery itself is intended to store surplus electricity from an existing solar panel system, in order to increase the self-consumption.

— Axel Kolsvik, Project Manager at Köping Elektriska

Beyond today’s energy needs, the system was also designed with tomorrow in mind. Its scalable architecture allows future expansion as the customer's energy requirements grow.

If you would like to expand in the future, it will be well prepared for that.

— Axel Kolsvik, Project Manager at Köping Elektriska

From maximizing solar self-consumption to simplifying installation and preparing for future growth, the Köping project demonstrates how Solis EverCore enables businesses to unlock more value from renewable energy through a smarter, more flexible energy storage solution.
